Join us for the release of our annual collaboration with Czechvar, Buh Original Pale Lager(4.6% abv). This beer is a study in simplicity and Czech brewing tradition. The recipe was formulated with Czechvar Brewmaster Adam Broż and his esteemed team.
On top of releasing Buh on draught and in cans, we’ll have pours of Budvar Original and Budvar Dark on tap, as well as the special tapping of Buh in “fass” (German Gravity Cask).

With this year's release of Gokurosama Kölsch-Style Ale, our annual nod to the immutable pale ales from Cologne, we'll once again convert our humble Coxwell pub into a traditional brauhäus on Saturday, April 5th 23rd and Sunday, April 6th (12pm-Midnight).
How it works? Godspeed Köbes (servers/tapsters) will be pouring Gokurosama in 200mL stanges carried in specialty trays, also known as Kranz, for table service. Once you've finished what's in your glass it gets replaced with a fresh beer. Each new beer yields a tick on your coaster and the cycle continues right up until you've had your fill.
Join us in celebrating this unique slice of beer culture - one delicious Kölsch at a time.
Cans of Gokurosama Kölsch-Style Ale will be available online and at our retail shop.

Czech Brass? Cocktails from Drom? A special collaboration?
Join us for an incredible evening of Czech music, featuring Polančanka Brass Band. Our good friends at Drom Taberna will be bringing their unique cocktails and personality to the east end for good measure.
Finally, we'll be tapping kegs of our collaboration with ELEKTRARNA and Pilsner Urquell. After months of deliberation and planning, brewmaster Lenka Straková visited our brewery back in November to brew FranzCollaborativeLager(5.2% abv) and witness the blessing of our pitch-lined barrels. This delicious Czech-Style PaleLagerfeatures Saaz Comfort; a modern hop variety grown in Bohemia as part of the Odolchmel Project. Named in honour of the man behind the early 20th century electrical plant that now houses Lenka’s brewhouse on the grounds of Pilsner Urquell, this beer features delicate notes of wildflower, crusty bread, and delicate spice.Franzwas double decocted, lagered in stainless for months, and naturally carbonated. We couldn't be more excited to share this one with you!

What's more, we'll debut two special English-inspired collaborations with our pals at @bar_volo and @granitebrewery, as well as a number of new releases and established classics from a few friends. On Thursday, May 25th and Friday, May 26th (12pm-late), we are hosting our first traditional Alt/Kölsch service to accompany the release of two companion beers: Gokurosama Kölsch-Style Ale and Oberkassel Altbier.
Inspired by brauhäus service in Cologne, our köbes (servers) will be pouring both beers in 200mL stanges and replenishing your glass without needing to order until you've completed your session. Many moons ago, back at Dieu du Ciel, our founder and head brewer Luc was set to import Uerige, Früh, and other classics into Quebec for a similar face-off event but last minute, unforseen red tape got in the way. Although other fantastic producers have since thrown similar events of their own, the timing felt right to finally try our hand at this unparalleled cultural beer experience.
Wvrst will be in the kitchen cooking up delicious German-Inspired dishes and cans will be available to purchase at our retail shop and online store.

On Sunday, March 12th we're throwing a Bavarian brunch release party to celebrate the release of TWO collaboration beers we with the legendary Michael Hancock.
Arbeit Hefeweizen (5.2%) and Arbeit Dunkelweizen (5.0%) will be pouring on draft, along with some other special German import beers we hold near and dear. Our friends at WVRST are serving up traditional Bavarian breakfast!
Michael's storied brewing career takes root back in 1989 at Denison's Brewing Company, where he brewed Bavarian-style beers with class and distinction. His wheat beer in particular became world-renowned for its incredible flavour and fidelity to tradition. Michael then went on to help establish Sidelaunch, who continue to brew his prized recipes to this day.
Arbeit means "work" in German and after 40 years of brewing and engineering, no one encapsulates the word more than our friend and collaborator. Michael Hancock will be onsite for the release party so come help us raise a glass to these new creations!
