GODSPEED STYLE SAISON – 4.8% ABV 

One little-known defining feature of Saisons of yesteryear was their smoked character. Prior to advances in kilning, malt dried for (and most likely by) farmhouse brewers would require wood smoke, which imparted aroma and flavour into the beer. We pay homage to this history with our Godspeed-Style Saison, Hanabi | 花火, by adding smoked malt to our beer's profile. What begins with plump pear and banana yeast esters ends with a mild smoky quality that anchors the entire enterprise. Prickly carbonation scrubs and refreshes the palate, as it would have for the farmhands who gave this style its name.
