Anton Dreher, the heir of a popular brewery in…. you guessed it, Vienna… popularized this style and arguably revolutionized brewing when he paired his patented lightly kilned malts (now referred to as Vienna Malt) with lager fermentation. Ours features notes of toasted bread crust, chestnut honey, and a hint of wildflower, which complement its smooth texture and clean finish. As with all of our lagers, decoction, extended cold conditioning time, and natural carbonation all serve to soften the edges of this simple yet refined creation.
